Container & Drybulk Chartering
Hanseatic Unity Chartering (“HUC”) is the joint chartering and marketing platform of Asiatic/Atlantic Lloyd, Borealis Maritime, Leonhardt & Blumberg, Reederei NORD GMBH and Bernhard Schulte for container and dry bulk tonnage, and it was formed in 2015. The company commercially manages a fleet of over 200 container vessels and over 25 drybulk carriers, including newbuildings. The company has offices in Hamburg, Singapore and Limassol, and employs a team of over 20 professionals.
Chemical Tanker Commercial Management
Established in January 2018, Borealis Tankers is focusing on commercial management of modern chemical tankers. The company is currently serving part of the Borealis Maritime Ltd – managed fleet, as well as third-party owners.
Drybulk Cargo Commercial Pool
M2M was originally established in 2006, grew to become one of the largest privately-owned freight-trading groups in the world, and employs highly specialised professionals in London and Athens. Its expertise covers physical freight trading and chartering, commercial operations, freight futures hedging and trading, fund management and commodity and shipping finance.
Borealis Maritime employs its own in-house technical and operation team in London, Hamburg, Istanbul and Rotterdam to oversee the technical management of its fleet, undertake pre-purchase inspections, provide budgetary control, attend dry-docking, attend various operational and administrative matters, coordinate the procurement of insurance and key supplier contracts, and handle or supervise any repair requirements. As part of these activities, the company cooperates with a number of independent third-party technical managers.
